DV8 Smooth Criminal Bowling Ball

DV8 Smooth Criminal Bowling Ball

Smooth motion. Maximum control. Predictable performance.

Take control of challenging lane conditions with the DV8 Smooth Criminal Bowling Ball, engineered to deliver a stable, predictable reaction for bowlers who prioritize accuracy, consistency, and control.

Designed to expand DV8's No Thumb performance lineup, the Smooth Criminal combines a lower RG, lower differential core with a smooth, lower-traction coverstock to create a controlled ball motion from the front of the lane through the pins.

Unlike stronger bowling balls that can react aggressively to friction, the Smooth Criminal is designed to blend challenging lane conditions and maintain a manageable breakpoint. This makes it an excellent choice for short to medium oil patterns, wet/dry house conditions, and high-rev bowlers who need a dependable reaction without excessive backend movement.

Whether you're navigating difficult lane transitions or looking for a controlled option in your arsenal, the DV8 Smooth Criminal provides the consistency needed to make confident shots.

Performance Benefits

Lower RG, Lower Differential Core

The Smooth Criminal features a core designed around lower RG and lower differential characteristics. This combination supports a stable, controlled reaction while limiting excessive flare and aggressive directional changes.

Smooth, Lower-Traction Coverstock

The coverstock is engineered to provide a more manageable response to friction than stronger, higher-traction bowling balls. This helps create a smooth, predictable reaction when lane conditions become challenging.

Excellent Control on Short to Medium Patterns

The Smooth Criminal is particularly effective when bowling on shorter or medium-length oil patterns where stronger equipment may produce too much movement downlane.

Blends Wet/Dry Lane Conditions

When lanes feature a sharp contrast between oily and dry boards, the Smooth Criminal helps reduce overreaction to friction, creating a more consistent ball path toward the pocket.

Designed with High-Rev Bowlers in Mind

High-revolution players often need equipment that provides control without excessive hook. The Smooth Criminal offers a more manageable reaction that allows these bowlers to maintain accuracy and consistency.

Expanded No Thumb Performance Options

As part of DV8's expanding No Thumb performance offerings, the Smooth Criminal provides a control-oriented option for bowlers who need a smoother reaction rather than increased angularity.
